Our service is for any consumeror business located in Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, or any other destination outside Europe that wants to shop online or make purchases in the Netherlands or the rest of Europe.

How does shipping work with a Shop Plus Ship quote?

For large orders, please visit our quote page:
. Send us a link, file, or screenshot of the products you'd like to order. You'll then receive a no-obligation quote with all the details and costs.

Once approved, we will send the invoice. As soon as payment is received, our team will begin purchasing the goods (VAT-free).

The goods are delivered to our facility in Rotterdam. Our team inspects the shipment and, if requested, packs it for sea or air freight, provided that payment has been made for this service.

We then load the shipment into the container or deliver it to Schiphol for transport to its destination.

Upon arrival, our local agent takes charge of the shipment and begins the customs clearance process. Once the goods have been released by customs and the local fees have been paid, they can be picked up from the agent or delivered to your home for an additional fee, if the agent offers this service.

For small purchases or shipments, this can be done through our portal.

What is included in the quote?

The quote may include, among other things, the purchase of the products (excluding VAT), delivery from the supplier to our location in Rotterdam, administrative and documentation costs, inspection of the goods, any packaging suitable for sea or air freight, and transportation to the destination. The quote always specifies what is included for your shipment and which options you can add as extras.

Transportation insurance, local fees, and import duties are listed as estimates but are not included as standard.
What costs are not included?

Local costs at the destination are not normally included. These may include import duties, local taxes, customs clearance, and handling fees. Transportation insurance, storage fees, delivery to your address (the shipment arrives at the agent’s location), and any additional costs resulting from changes in volume or prices charged by the supplier are also not included, unless otherwise stated.
Will I have to pay any additional fees at my destination (import duties and local fees)?
Is my shipment insured as standard?

No, your shipment is not automatically insured. However, you can choose to purchase additional insurance for your shipment.

In the quote, we specify which insurance option is available. If you wish to take advantage of this option, you must explicitly indicate this when you accept the quote.

The decision to insure the shipment or not is up to you, the customer. If you do not opt for additional insurance, the shipment will be transported uninsured, and in the event of damage or loss, our Terms and Conditions and the liability provisions contained therein will apply.

Shipment volume or weight

What is 1000 L / 1m3 and how big is this?
In shipping/logistics, 1000 L / 1 m³ / 1 cbm refers to the volume (i.e., size) of your shipment, only in two different units.

Meaning
- L = liter
- m³ = cubic meter (CBM)
And the conversion is:
- 1 m³/ 1CBM = 1000 liters
- 1000 liters = 1 cubic meter / 1 CBM

How do I calculate the volume for a sea freight shipment?

Our shipping calculator calculates this itself based on the dimensions of the package you entered.

. With sea freight, you often determine the costs based on volume (CBM / m³ / liter), i.e., how much space your shipment takes up.

The formula here is (in cm):

CBM = (Length × Width × Height) : 1,000,000

Example:

A package has LxWxH sides measuring 100 × 50 × 40 cm.
Then you do 100 x 50 x 40 = 200,000
Then divide 200,000 by 1,000,000 and the answer is = 0.20 CBM / 200 liters.

Do you have multiple items? Then: CBM per item × number of items.

1 CBM = 1 cubic meter = 1000 liters
That is a block measuring 100cm × 100cm × 100cm.
How do I calculate the volumetric weight for an air freight shipment?

With air freight, it's not just the weight, but also how large a package is. A large package takes up more space and therefore has a higher volume weight.

The price is calculated based on the highestweight (between actual weight or volumetric weight).

See the calculation;

Formula (in cm):
Volume weight (kg) = (height × width × depth) : 1,000 × 0.167

Example:
33 × 80 × 45 CM = 118,800
118,800 ÷ 1,000 × 0.167 = 19.8 kg

How long will the order take to arrive?

The average delivery times below are purely indicative;

-As a general rule, a sea freight shipmenttakes about 35 days from purchase to arrival at the agent's location, provided the supplier delivers the goods to us within one week.

-For air freight, this is approximately 14 days. Delays on the part of the supplier, carrier, or customs may extend the total delivery time.

Please note that customs at the destination may delay this process for both options.

Where can I pick up my order?

The shipment can be picked up from the agent at your destination. This will be announced as soon as your order is ready for collection. If you would like to know this in advance, please contact us.

If you have placed a large order via the quotation form, we can also arrange for the shipment to be delivered to your home. Please indicate this in the quotation form when submitting your request.
Can my items also be delivered to my home?
What goods cannot be shipped?
Not all products may be shipped or purchased through Shop Plus Ship B.V.. The following goods are not accepted:
- Live animals, plants, and flowers
- Products that spoil quickly
- Fireworks
- Illegal goods, such as weapons and drugs
- Goods that fall under the category of hazardous substances or dangerous goods
- Products eligible for exemption or excise duty.
In addition, there is a separate restriction for air freight:
Products such as power banks (batteries), products with rechargeable batteries,perfumes (EDT), and pressurized containers (aerosols) may not be transported by air. However, these items can be shipped via our sea freight services.

On the recommendation of an acquaintance, we used the services of Shop and Ship.
