Import duties Aruba
Then import duties. Import duties are the taxes on products imported from abroad. These taxes are there to create a threshold through which Aruba tries to protect its own market from products from abroad. Because of this, products from Aruba are supposed to have an advantage in price over products that are imported. Because almost everything comes from outside Aruba, almost every product for sale on the island faces these import duties. These import duties percentages are always calculated over the CIF value (CIF value is the value of the goods + any transport insurance + transport costs).
Below are most common import duty rates;
| Goods | Levy | Tariff item |
| Washing machines | 12% | 84.50 |
| laptop | 12% | 84.71 |
| Clothing | 6% | Miscellaneous codes |
| toy | 6% | 95.03 |
| fishing tackle | 12% | 95.07 |
| Furniture | 22% | Miscellaneous codes |
| Auto Parts | 22% | 84.8 |

BBO/BAVP/BAZV
In addition to the import duties a new levy called BBO/BAVP/BAZV will be in force as of August 1, 2023. This concerns 7% also calculated over the CIF value (CIF value = value of goods + possible transport insurance + transport costs).
